This series was captured over the course of several years. All images were shot on Polaroid film stock (Polapan B&W). This now unavailable film was unique in the market as the only instant black and white transparency 35mm film of it's time. The processing of exposed film creates a one of a kind 35mm slide. While manufactured primarily for pre-reproduction proofs, here it was used as the final film. The selected transparencies were scanned on a high resolution flatbed scanner, and then composed and corrected for fidelity only.

The film development process renders with pronounced grain and additionally, the film stock (when wet) is highly susceptible to scratching and contaminant retention. By the artist's intent, prints include these details, and are not retouched to affect the characteristic and stylistic finish.
